SF See
I got a call one day out of the blue from the owner of a small print shop in San Fransisco who had seen some of my work and wanted to talk about re-designing his website. He wanted to do something really creative and different. He explained that at SFSEE, they stick to their tagline and help their clients to “see the possibilities” with every project. They wanted to convey that they were creative in their approach and wanted a fun, colorful and creative website that would appeal to designers looking for a partner that really gets the creative process. I decided to take an illustrative approach to the entire site, allowing us total freedom of expression in the imagery. I illustrated an SFSEE representative looking through a loop (a device that magnifies the dot patterns in prints to check for irregularities) and from the loop, all kinds of colors, possibilities, patterns and prints arise. I also chose to create a fun animation on the home page that takes you to an anchor on the page with the special of the week. Ryan got great feedback and attracted more designers with this new creative approach to his identity.
