La Piazza Al Forno

La Piazza Al Forno

After seeing this little gem featured on an episode of Guy Fieri’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives on The Food Network, I had to stop in and give it a shot. This was my first experience with Napoletan pizza and my mind was pretty much blown. I noticed the owner was working the oven but at one point, he came out to greet customers and make sure everyone was happy. I let him know how much I enjoyed the food and also shared that I happened to be a graphic designer and mentioned the success I’d had with Times Square, an Italian Restaurant in North Phoenix. Justin, the owner asked me to give him a call and said he was in the market for a website that would help generate more business. Within a week I was working on the website and put together a site that captured the old town charm of Historic Glendale. I hired a photographer to capture the magic of making a pizza, and they ended up using some of the photos as art hung on the wall. The site had everything he needed to capitalize on his publicity with The Food Network, and was very easy to navigate, incorporating a twitter feed to keep content fresh, links to reviews, a gallery of photos and a downloadable menu. To this day, it still receives many compliments and it gets almost 1,000 visits per month. Business is booming for La Piazza Al Forno, and Justin has gone on to open his own restaurant with his own twist in downtown Phoenix, called La Piazza PHX.
